Nowadays they don't, as I said, have home console anymore, all they have are 3DS with games that are very different from the arcade. They don't even own home console anymore.īack in the PS1 and PS2 that would make sense, since every single Japanese in the planet had a Playstation. Wii U and PS4 are nowhere near PS1 and PS2 sales, so there no way they're not geing to the arcades because they are waiting to play these games at home. ![]() Japanese are not buying home console as they used to. So there's no "rising" today, in fact, it's the opoosite. The ULTIMATE GOAL of ANY gamer in the 90's was to have "the arcade experience at home". Specially in the 90, consoles for the most part were nothing more than machines to play arcade games. ![]() And starting with the Dreamcast, consoles started to get perfect arcade ports. These ports have been around since the 80's.
